Lifeline and Prepaid Plan Details by State
In most states, LTE Wireless allows residents who are low-income or on government programs to enroll in the federal Lifeline program and/or a state variation. Through these programs, residents can qualify for discounted phone and internet services that help them connect to essential services, loved ones, and job opportunities.
The Lifeline program application process and benefits vary slightly from state to state. To help you better understand what is offered in your area, we’ve compiled a list of LTE Wireless’s Lifeline program and Prepaid Phone Plan offerings for each state and territory.

Additional Lifeline Programs for Residents of California and Tribal Lands
On top of the federal Lifeline benefit, which LTE Wireless provides plans for in most states, California has an additional state-sponsored version of the program known as the California LifeLine program.
The benefits of LTE Wireless’s California Lifeline plans are like those offered in other states, with a few notable additions: our California LifeLine plan comes with 6GB of monthly data and qualified new customers may also be eligible for a free smartphone with their phone plan. California residents can use their enrollment in state support programs, such as CalFresh or Medi-Cal and others, to qualify for the California LifeLine program and LTE Wireless’s free phone plans.

Americans eligible for the Lifeline Program who live on designated Tribal Lands are also eligible for Lifeline’s Enhanced Tribal benefit. LTE Wireless’s Tribal Lifeline plans come with 10GB of free monthly data. Like LTE Wireless’s California LifeLine plans, Tribal Lifeline customers may also be eligible for a free phone from LTE Wireless.
What If LTE Wireless Does Not Offer Lifeline in My State?
While LTE Wireless may not currently offer Lifeline phone plans in your state, we continue to work on becoming available in more states in the future. If you live in a state where we do not yet offer Lifeline plans, be sure to check back with us often for additional states gaining this benefit.
In addition to expanding our nationwide Lifeline offering, LTE Wireless has been working to push for Lifeline reform to improve upon existing benefits. Lifeline upgraded its benefits to include cell service in 2005 when it became clear that cell phones would replace older technology. We hope that Lifeline benefits may be increased to keep pace with the evolution of technology.
